Introduction

For qualitative research and scholarly output, the researchers and authors need to have required knowledge of methodologies of publishing

and presenting. Knowledge of technical writing styles improves the quality of the scholarly communication, research reports etc. It is in view of this a National level Seminar cum training Workshop on publishing and presenting would benefit the budding researchers and authors.

India has strong research abilities and substantial research output but most of the research results are not properly communicated or presented because of lack of knowledge of the art of publishing and presenting on the part of the researchers. Of late there are many cases of Plagiarism and correct citation style are not followed. Most of the authors who are budding authors are either not aware of ethical practices of publishing and presenting. The quality and quantity of research output in India is considerably rated low on the global scale. This is evident from the fact that not even one Indian University is amongst the top 200 Universities worldwide.

Knowledge of IPR, Copyright, rights authors retain while signing away to commercial publishers and the terms of Creative Commons licenses for Open Access Resources and terms of archiving in their Institutional Repositories would benefit the researchers and authors in their publishing activity.

A Seminar cum Training Workshop that provides theoretical knowledge with hands on practical knowledge will be of immense value. Therefore the present Seminar cum Training Workshop is organised to equip the researchers with the necessary skills.
